Blender 3D application now Open Source

Hi folks,

some of the modellers and add-on artists among us might be
interested to hear that the Blender foundation managed to raise
100,000 Euros of donations that NaN Technologies were asking
and will soon release the 3d modelling application Blender as
open source.

Yes, there are good news.
Anyway, I have a problem. I used Blender on Windows NT without problems.
Now, trying under XP, it exits immediately after starting. The effect is
the same with compatibility mode. Do you know if Blender is supposed to
correctly work with XP?

Hi Socius,

I only use Blender under Linux, so I cannot help you with your
problem. My guess would be though that a patch for XP will be
out 48 hours after the public release of the source ;-)
