Has anyone else seen the promo video for this?  Seems like a very simple yet
well-thought-out concept.  I'm definitely looking forward to it.  I'm still
not sure how they decide which countries will be competing though...

Oh and from a simulation point of view, I hope that a company like Sony
doesn't get the license.  ;-)

I have seen it Steve and I agree, it is a great concept. But the last I
heard they are having trouble getting free to air TV rights and without
those they are gonna have problems paying their way. Bernie's laughing
at them because they'll be televising it in the middle of the night on
pay TV.

That may be fine for those of you in the U.S. and Europe, but here in Oz
none of the pay TV channels are very interested in motorsport, so I
doubt we'll see it.

Well, looking at the race weekend schedule, it looks tailor made for
people with attention deficit disorder. 15-20 minute sprint race and
then a 40-60 minute main race?

Maybe the cars will have a blue electronic streak overlay on our TVs so
we know which way they are going. <G>

A bit off-topic, but that reminds me when Fox had the puck trails for
NHL broadcasts.  Wow, was that ever naff.

Ahh, the good 'ole days when the Red Wings would be playing right about
now.
