Just bought GPL here in the UK and I am only getting about 6-8 fps with the
default GFX settings. Everything turned off minimum detail getting 12 fps.
Turning everything up to the Max and I only get 2fps (wow!).
I am sure there is gfx/3dfx bug in the game because I have had the Demo
flying with almost everything turned on. Then other times the demo would
almost stop with no detail on

My system is a Intel 200 mhz with orchid 3dfx voodoo 1

Any ideas would be much appreciated

    During the installation procedure, I'll bet you installed the software
rendering version by accident instead of the glide/3dfx version. Why don't you
try and reinstall the sim. Of course first check in all the option screens and
make sure you have 3dfx acceleration checked and the proper screen size.

Hi Andy,
    I too am a British pauper ;-) and have the same setup; un-clockable
Orchid Voodoo1 and non-MMX P200.  Don't despair, I'm getting up to 25fps
with my rig, a Compaq with 128MB RAM.  Make sure you have fewest AI
opponents set if racing as the advanced routines for the computer drivers
eat CPU cycles for breakfast, lunch and tea.  And if you're also still in
the dark ages like myself with 16-bit sound, drop down the number of sounds
to 4; doesn't sound that great in a race, but solo use is fine.  Goes
without saying that you have the latest drivers for your Orchid, right?
Check Orchid's web-site.  Also, what 2D card are you using? What OS?  How
much RAM, etc?
