"Following the recent announcement that Infogrames is closing its MicroProse
UK studio, the French publisher has today announced that the Xbox version of
Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 has been canceled.

The game was nearing completion and scheduled for release before the end of
the year, and an Infogrames representative we spoke to was keen to point out
that the decision to cancel the game was made for corporate reasons and was
in no way influenced by its quality."

I'm sad to see Microprose shut down - I remember when they were a small
company based in my home town of Tetbury (back in the GP1/2 days)

But imho - it was just a matter of time after the total abomination that was
GP4

There's people fuming in the Xbox forums - I tried to calm them by telling
them it was a blessing in disguise....
