USB Driver Signing, Bad Joystick, or Need Patch for Nascar 2k3 calibration in XP??

by iltf124 no spam » Sat, 14 Jun 2003 14:43:49

Im having trouble keeping my Game-Elements AxisPad calibrated
correctly while running Nascar 2k3 on my XP Pro OS.  Usually, I have
to calibrate my joystick before every event (quals, happy hour,
practice, then the race) and even after I have done this the car will

o'clock just to get it stay between the line and the wall down the
straightaways.  I have checked the Game Contollers in the Control
Panel, and it says the AxisPad is configured and working
properly...and all of the calibrations are ok there.  When I go to
Device Manager, under Human Interface Devices it does say that the
driver is unsigned by XP.

Any clues as to what my problems are and how they can be fixed or
remedied?  I have tried everything and am willing to try anything at
this point.

Thanks.

I think it is supposed to pull to the left.  It's part of the setup.  Try
the arcade setting and see if it goes away.  If it does, then your
equipment is functioning properly.  If you still need to steer right to
stay straight, then try reducing the front caster setting, equalizing the
weight and see if you still have the pull.  Again,  Winston Cup cars do
pull fairly strongly to the inside of a track.  While I don't think this
effect is as bad in 2k3 as it was in N2k2, it still should be present.

Get a wheel,  the setup of the car is making it pull to the left.

I was sure this was a joke but now....i am not sure LOL

In Nascar 2003 the steering is meant to be offset to the left....and you are
meant to be steering right to go straight on.

If i have missed the joke and been got my self then well done :)
