Where do I get steering wheel for my husband?

by Tony Jeste » Thu, 15 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hello ! My husband wants a new steering wheel pretty bad for the
father's day present. He mentioned something about Thomas Wheel 2 . I
know he posts here a lot, so if you have any idea where can I get it and
what steering wheel it is, please let me know.
 Thanks

Hi Yana,
You can order it direct from Thomas Enterpises, I believe what your looking
for is the TSW2. I have one, and love it - he won't be dissappointed.
Here is the url for Thomas Enterprises: http://www.thomas-superwheel.com/

If you really want to make him happy, go down to you're nearest Porsche
dealer and buy him a new one. It comes with a steering wheel already in it
;-)

Dunno, but I got a lawn-mower for my wife when I went to a wife-swapping
party...

OK. OK. I'm going now!

The key thing is "what kind of wheel?".
The Thomas Wheel is the "Rolls Royce" of wheels.
Their website (already mentioned in
this thread by Don Burnette.) is packed
with information

 http://www.thomas-superwheel.com/

However, other wheels exist which are (a) cheaper
(b) provide force feedback. Noticably the ACT-labs
wheel ( http://www.act-labs.com/).

I guess its simply a case of how serious his comments about the
TSW are, I write this simply to let you know others exist, and
give you a more mainstream option to consider.

(I use a logitech wheel - and its great - but from the sounds
of it your husband is after something a bit more authentic)

good luck,

Steve
