Nascar 2 and joystick

I play nascar 2 in dos mode and have my joystick hooked up. For some
reason it detects the joystick but it won't let me play with it. Any
suggestions?

If you are using w/95 osr2 you may need to go to the seirra web site and
download a patch to fix a bug that N2 has when running under that system.   The
patch is eay to install and it worked  for me.

Make sure you CALIBRATE it.  Got caught by that last night in N99.  Just
click on "calibrate joystick 1" and you should be okay.  If that doesn't
work, it's possible you have TWO joystick ports.  Some multi-IO cards had
'em and just about every sound card has 'em.
