N2: Joystick doesn't register in multi user?

Does anyone know what patch I need to get my joystick to work in multi
user?  The same stick works with Warbirds, another win95 game, and it
also works in single user mode with Nascar 2.  I'm confused.  Any help
would be appreciated.
