I saw the Thrustmaster Formula T2 steering and pedals combo in the
shops the other day, and found this group the next day.
Fate.
To those who have tried it, is it any good? Especially on F1GP/WC
but also on games like Need For Speed, Nascar, Indy Car I & II,
Screamer etc. It says on the box that it's recommended by Papyrus
and MPS, but I'd like to have some input from some users before
I rob a bank to pay the 1500NOK (=150GBP =250USD) it costs here
in the Artic.

As I said, I'm new to r.a.s. so if this has been discussed to death
in this newsgroup and you don't want to add to all those other
wonderful posts, please e-mail me.

I trust your calculation from NOK to USD is correct. I just ordered
one from the Computer Express (USA) via Internet (check out Yahoo for
this and more adresses), where the thing sells for $99 ! Plus
packaging and shipping it is $150, so still considerable cheaper that
in Norway. I live in Holland by the way. One week delivery by UPS, so
no problem there.
The T2 is quite good, although you have to get used to it. The
steering feels good, not too soft. The same for the pedals. Good
feeling and robust. Like I said, you need to get used to the steering
wheel in order to take real advantage from it. I am more than
satisfied.

  If you are looking to buy a T2, there is a company that
someone has mentioned to me. The company is Computer
Express ( http://www.cexpress.com/ ) and they are currently
selling it for $108 US.
  You should be able to get it shipped to cheaper than if
you bought it in the Arctic.
  If you can effort it buy the Thomas Super Wheel.
Everybody that I have talked to says its one of the best.
