Not sure if thats quite an "average system" though
Anyway, the faster the system, the higher the framerate, the better the
response and better control and you got better time. It is a little bit
strange that I found the braking improves in higher framerate.
In my Pentium 133, it is very smooth in SVGA in-car view. For a Pentium
75, I think you can at least get a very good framerate under
VGA.(Although graphics becomes a bit blocky, but it increase playability.)
If you think you cannot accept VGA quality, try to turn the view distance
down a bit, or may even consider turn off horizon.
RAM size seems do nothing. However, a large harddisk with 114mb free
space can let you full-install the game and minimize CD-ROM loading time.
Finally, I would recommend this game. Many roads in commerial versions
looks much better than the demo. In head-to-head mode, there are even
cops to chase you in roads. Also, other cars are not just a different
look. They have different driving feels and behaviour.

on the contrary, i have a P133 with 16MB on which NFS runs slower than on my P90 24MB

Okay, I've been read pretty much every Tim Hunter appearance so I'll try
my best to answer.
: 1. Who is Jimmy, the voodoo-doll-ed boy in BOM#23 page 12?
Around #7 I think, Slaggingham from the artificial heart storyline tried
to get some of Tim's school mates to help him hurt Tim. When they found
out that the evil menace to society, life, and limb he'd said they'd be helping
him fight against was Tim they laughed in his face...
Then Slaggingham turned them into pincushions.
: 2. Doesn't Tim's dad wonder who Gwendolyn (sp?) is?
No, they've been introduced, and living together for a few weeks at least
now. I assume that though he's been told the truth about her he just
thinks its some sort of joke.
: 3. Molly says that she's met the faerie before (in BOM#24 page 16). When
: was that?
When Titania brought him along to help her find Auberon's soul. (Small
Glass Worlds 2)
: 4. Is Holly just a friend of Tim's dad? Is Cyril her son?
She's a friend he met when he came out of the hospital from his
sponataneous combustion from Sacrifices. (5-7?) She seems to be making an
effort to be a little bit more than friends though. ;-)
: 5. Who is this Molly person we hear so much about (just kidding :))
: 6. Is the Margrave just some evil entity, or is there more of a background
: to him/her?
No background really worth mentioning that others already haven't.
: 7. Is Circe an old character, or was she introduced in BOM#21?
I'm pretty sure there already is a Circe in DC continuity, and though
officialy (according to Dc) she's not the mythological character, for all
intents and purposes she is.
Hope that helps,
Adam

I agree. Now if only the cops would chase my opponent too :(
