DIRT Cheap: FREE for November!

The release of Dirt Track Racing 2 has brought on a new era at
Onlineracin.com, the era of dirt. ALL the dirt servers are now FREE
for the month of November as part of the "OLR gets DIRTY" campaign.
The original Dirt Track Racing, Dirt Track Racing Sprint Cars,
Leadfoot, and the new Dirt Track Racing 2 now have special FREE arenas
set up for this month! The free promotion is ONLY for non-members.
Current paying members will continue to have unlimited access to the
entire site. Paying members may race in the free arenas, but free
members cannot race in the basic or premium arenas. Leagues are
encouraged to race in the free arenas as well. Current leagues may see
an increased car count and new leagues will have a chance to check out
the servers at Onlineracin.com. Look for the new DTR2 ranking system
as well as information regarding the Dave Blaney HotLaps and the all
new Dirt Shootout coming soon!

Is there gonna be anything like OSCAR/FASCAR setup or is it gonna be up to
the members to set up a league?

We do want to setup a good size DTR2 league but need to start off with
the shootouts like we are doing now with Flashpoint.  Our next project
is getting the OLR site and interface completely redone and avoid
using the redirector in the future, as well as the ability to create
server names instead of using your screen name; which is very good for
leagues.  We have some awesome plans coming up for OLR.tv soon.  Once
we get these projects completed we will have some time to start
working on a league structure for DTR2.

Joe, does that mean they finally understand that their java ***is a waste
of time, or they are going to continue using it?

hahaha... that's a good one.  It's not really that they didn't
understand about the Microsoft VM, but more that the whole system was
build around it and it's not a simple task to change, as well as the
cost involved.

Believe me, before I decided to move over 600 Flashpoint drivers over,
there was a whole laundry list of items I explained that needed to get
changed in order to benefit league racing.  Once we moved OSCAR, Pro,
and Pro Fixed, as well as adding 20 more divisions for FASCAR, we were
able to see some of the challenges along the way.

Now that we are over 1300+ members we can start making the changes we
wanted to make. Once we get the new interface in place many drivers
are going to love the new features and some deja vu of TEN with the
old pager system.  I'm also in contact with many NOC's to make sure we
keep working on the connection issues for some of the drivers.
