(OT) computer suspension

Whenever I leave my computer for more than thirty minutes (I think that
is what it is set at)  it goes to sleep.  This is good and I want it to
do this.  My question is that when I come back, my wheel no longer works
and neither does my sound card.  I know it used to work, but it just
does this now.  Any thoughts

Sorry, Marc!
I'm afraid I couldn't be of any technical use with that one so I thought
I'd try and brighten your day with a smile.  Seems that I succeeded! :o)
