LFS Strange frame rates

Ok, this is a bit odd. In LFS I have all eye candy turned up to the max. I'm racing with 3 AI drivers. My lowest frame rates are about 37. Now, I turn on full FSAA and my frame rates are the same. How do they do that? Video card is MSI 4400 oc'd to 675/325 and cpu is P4 at over 2500. -- Slot Tweaks & Reviews www.slottweak.com

I thought so too, running at 12X9 until I turned it off with RivaTuner and the image and FPS were identical. So I tried messing with some other settings to see what happened. Interesting; on mine, going out of the game to RivaTuner and changing AA and/or AF settings has no effect whatsoever in-game. I posted this on the official forum and was not the only one to see this, so I wonder what the deal is. Changes made in RivaTuner work with other games, but not this one. Forget the previous: just found out my RivaTuner 2.0, rc 10.2 wasn't working with the 30.82 WHQL NVidia Win 98SE drivers. RivaTuner 2.0, r.c. 11.1 does, at least to some degree.
