Hi folks,
I've just decided to put GPL back on my system and I seem to be
having major problems with the sound. There seems to be a lot of
distortion and the engine sounds seem rather lame. In the replay mode
things seem fine(?) Is there a way around this?
My system is an Athlon XP2100 with Geforce 3 and SBLive!. I'm
running windows XP for the OS and have patched GPL with the gpl12 patch,
the D3D patch and the gpl_cpufix patch.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you need to try turning down the sound card hardware acceleration.
Go into Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Speaker settings/Advanced
button/Performance tab, and move the tab a notch or two to the left.
