Since N2002 is such a huge success and we have so many servers it would be nice to filter out some of the servers on the screen... As it stands now you see alot of stuff that isnt important or necessary. ie. 1). If I only have a 1 rating.. why do i care or see races that have rating over 1... 2). If I never ever want to run an arcade race.. why not be able to turn off races that are in ARCADE mode.. 3). If I dont care about passworded races, why show them to me.. It seems to me that if i dont have a password in the password area. I dont need to see races with passwords.... 4). You could go one setup further as well and be able to view only SS, SW, etc type races... Maybe someone has a papyrus alternative to see what you want so you have less of a chance missing what's important... Just suggestion.. Love the game... Don Wilshe Im sure there are about 100 more filter suggestions that one could post and i would like to see others ideas...

On a similar note... anyone know what happened to the Papyrus run servers which used to loop through the various tracks? Open servers are neat, but it does tend to spawn a lot of super speedway races. Jan./went pick-up racing to practise dodging wrecks after being taken out twice by a car rolling down the banking at latest RASCAR event.
have the new patch?? "Jan Verschueren" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

you would but just with pre patch people... "Jan Verschueren" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Would be nice, to be sure. Personally though, I'd rather have a few bugs squashed and the damage model improved first. I.e., if you go into the pits to serve a penalty, you shouldn't have to tell your crew to not change tires. -John "Don Wilshe" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:PUXB8.227369$[email hidden]...

I would love to see this. It amazes me that it hasn't found it's way into the code already. Maybe nobody at Papy connects through Sierra.com. I'd like to be able to reassign game functions to other keys. For example, changing car view is pageup and pagedown. I have a ForceRS wheel and use RBJoy to assign buttons to keys, etc. For whatever reason, RBJoy can't send pageup and/or pagedown in a way that the game can recognize. I'd like to reassign the change view function to another set of keys that RBJoy can handle. You could reassign the Function keys to the keypad, which is much easier to use "one-handed", etc. Kind of nit picky, but it is something that would be nice to have. Other things: - Reinstate a server admin's ability to toss yellows, black flags, etc. - Change the pit rules for BMS to reflect current reality - spring rubbers: we hear about these every race, why aren't they in the game? Pipe dreams: -Dynamic, scriptable weather -Dynamic, scriptable track surfaces (groove changes, oil, debris, etc) -Variable engine performance (more HP vs. increased risk of failure) -Career/team management modes, though this sort of becomes a game unto itself -Interactive pitcrew AI (you tell the crewchief I am loose in 3 and the AI decides what to do based on basic algorithms, current and future expectations of track conditions, results of past changes in similar conditions, and your driving style) -better AI for NASCAR officials assessing track conditions, when to go green, when to assess penalties. -game enforces user specified racing rules with user specified penalties (i.e. the game should be able to enforce whatever penalty is desired for passing before the backstretch) -scriptable race conditions (i.e. we will have a yellow at lap 30 to check tire wear, etc.) -better customization of track.ini (racing groove, sealer, aero rules, etc.) -set the game in 1984. jk, but I am still holding out hope for NL2... 7 years into the race, Papy is off to a blazing start, but still has many laps to go before they get to the checkered flag. cheers, Gerald "Don Wilshe" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:<PUXB8.227369$[email hidden]>...
