As subject, whenever i attempt to load N2002 all i get is the "...has
encountered a problem and needs to close...tell Microsoft...Send Error
Report" dialog box.

Note the two reports above - N2002 wasn't working so I re-installed from
scratch, still not working, applied the patch, STILL not working. I've been
running N2002 for weeks without problem but now it just refuses to work.
Sometimes Autorun doesn't work either - i get an error message. I'm thinking
the disk might have developed a fault but has anyone experienced these
problems before?
If it helps, my hardware is thus;
Biostar M7TDB MoBoard
1.6GHz P4
128Mb SDRAM
Windows XP Pro

Difficult to say something precise here. Unless you've installed some
software or drivers just before the prob began, I'd suspect a hardware
issue.
If you didn't install any new hardware before the prob started, your HD is a
possible candidate, or the RAM. It could also be the CPU running hot because
the fan isn't working properly, but it could also be a real CPU problem
(like maybe it has been running hot for a while and is now developing
errors).
If you're sure you didn't install any software, I'd suspect the hardware.

Not to sound fatalist here, but the same thing happened with my WinXP Pro
system and NR2002, before the patch though. It scragged my HD and I had to
reformat. I installed Win98SE and did not get a chance to put WinXP back on
before the league season started.
Whether or not to blame it on NR2002, I dunno. But I had the same problem
and it ended up carrying over to the entire system. Make sure you have all
the latest updates for Win Xp Pro from M$ before trying anything as drastic
as a Win reinstall.
