"Buying" Custom Cars?

Can I pay someone to paint my NR2002 car?

John Pritchard asked if anyone would paint a custom NR2002 car for a fee. Replies said many painters do it for free and suggested league sites or teammates. The thread turned into Fawlty Towers and Monty Python jokes.

This may be an extremely stupid question, but... I like NR2002. I hate the idea of designing a car using Photoshop or any other utility. That's not how I like to spend my time and I lack the talent required. But I'd like a custom car. Anybody know of anyone who does this? I'd pay a small fee to someone with a little talent (references/website with examples) and who enjoys doing this sort of thing. Any suggestions? -JP

You might try looking around at some of the league websites or the fan sites and if you see something you like, just use download it and use that... or you might find someone who will do it for you for free. I paint cars sometimes when I am having a hard time on the track. What do you have in mind for your design? I have zero artistic talent...I am a worse car painter than sim-racer,(and that's pretty bad) but I have currently a BEEYOUTIFUL DTM tourning car painjob... The secret? Find a teammate who likes to paint. I've been scamming cars for years...tell em you appreciate teaming up and 'hey by the way, could you knock off another car just like yours with My number on it..." heheh I hope DJ or John or Bev or Mike or Mika aren't reading this...Goy you shush! dave henrie "John Pritchard" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:L8fe8.13979$[email hidden]...

Sorry have no idea who that is, but I have heard of the show just never saw it(BBC right?). never seen Fawlty Towers? You are hereby banned from RAS until you watch every episode. Only about 12 I think and every one funnier than the next. BASIL RULES. I piss my pants everytime he calls that old lady a "scabby old hag" under his breath. I piss my pants everytime he calls that old lady a "scabby old > hag" under his breath. Best episode ever is the one where they have guests from Germany and he keeps telling everyone not to mention the war..... I particularly like the scene where he wakes up in the hospital after getting knocked on the head and there's this "less than strikingly beautiful nurse" standing over him, and he goes; "My good you're ugly aren't you ?" To which she replies; "If you're not nice I'll get the doctor !" And Basil says; "A doctor won't help, you need a plastic surgeon" ...or words to this effect, classic Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "The Pits" http://www.theuspits.com/ "Animation isn't the illusion of life; it is life" --Chuck Jones (1912-2002)--
