First of all, my system specs:

I have gone into the rend_ogl.ini and changed line to read:
AnisotropicLevel=0
Have changed the following value in the player.ini file
texture_quality=100
Have the game set to the following settings:
Car Detail-High
Mirror Detail-Medium
Trackside Objects-All
World Detail-High
Drawn Ahead-70%
Opponents Drawn-25
In Mirror-3
# of drivers-42
Everything else checked except for Steering Wheel
1024 x 768 x 16
Win Win98, I have my GeForce3 Ti200 set to Quincunx Antialiasing
Starting at the back of the pack at Daytona-I get 35-40 FPS. By time
the field spreads out a little bit, i am up to 50 FPS. Everything
nice and sharp and clear. No jaggies at all.
I had the problem with losing sound upon acceleration. When I went in
and created a new player for myself, I think I accidently erased the
default player. Anyways, once I set myself up as the default, I ended
up creating a new player.ini in the process, all the sound problems
went away. No longer lose sound upon acceleration.
Great info, "Intrepid".....thanks.
Couple questions:
1. Does the picture/graphic quality increase with x32 color? If so,
what's the FPS hit?
2. What's the performance using all the same settings...but with D3D
selected verses OGL?
3. What's the status of the "jaggies" (better or worse?) at 1600x1200
with no quincunx FSAA....and what's the FPS?
Thanks,
Tom
