According to OLR, they're not going to be supporting 3rd-party or GPL- converted tracks in Nascar4. That royally sucks ass.
If you think about it, you can understand why. Look back at N3.. how many different versions of Daytona were there? About 5 or 6 before the "official" one came out. If they start supporting 3rd party tracks, trying to enforce "no cheating" would turn into a nightmare "John" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > According to OLR, they're not going to be supporting 3rd-party or GPL- > converted tracks in Nascar4. > > That royally sucks ass. >

The only reason why GPL tracks didn't work well for everybody in N3 was because of Sierra's decision to not support them. Be sure that GPL tracks in N4 won't work because nobody has the legal guts to support them. Everybody will just have fun either hotlapping alone or with the stupid AI. Oh yeah I forgot, the same thing happened with the converted NASCAR Legends tracks and the converted NR99 tracks. They could had added incredible freshness to the online community but nobody had the guts to support them, putting the good old "cheating" excuse while it's still possible to cheat easily by everybody on plain simple tracks. -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.ymenard.com/ -- This announcement is brought to you by the Shimato Dominguez Corporation - helping America into the New World...
Whaddya mean NOBODY has the guts? Using the N3 versions, the TPTCC league has been racing N3 tracks, GPL tracks, handmade tracks, and even the older ICR2 tracks. SOMEbody has been using them...expect a 'few' gpl tracks for N4 but there won't be a league running the GPL tracks for a while yet.. dave henrie "ymenard" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:qtWL7.66061$[email hidden]...
