Well, there's also a selection at: http://www.interactiveracing.com/products/ and for a more minimalist approach, http://www.gamechopper.com/ No doubt there are others. SB "David T." <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:CTwG7.15391$[email hidden]...

http://users.fan.net.au/~galathea/index.htm or http://www.users.bigpond.com/galathea/ Add this one to your list, it is awesome and quite easy to build even for an amateur - i.e. me :) All the best, Ash "David T." <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:CTwG7.15391$[email hidden]...

Any recommendation on one from a US based company?

www.virtualroadster.com (I think... if that's not correct do a web search on virtual roadster) has a list of links to this sort of thing. HTH, Gerald "David T." <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:<CTwG7.15391$[email hidden]>...

Why choose a pod when you can get all the feel in a real racing seat and still use the computer as usual by just removing your wheel? Beyond being a race chair on a desk chair base, what does this offer? It's still going to roll around on you when you press on the pedals like a desk chair does, not the proper height or angle, doesn't address pedal angle issue. It might be a cool chair but I don't see what makes it any better than an desk chair. "A_Austin" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3beb1b82$[email hidden]...

Well, first off, locking casters are available but not listed on the site yet. Second the chair does recline to any angle and height you desire to an extent. Third the whole concept behind it, is you still maintain an operating computer for things other than racing. Plus they look cool as hell sitting behind any computer desk. But all sim pods and sim chairs have one thing in common and that is to enhance the experience of sim racing. No battle about it though. Choices make the world go round :-) -- Sincerely, Allen Austin http://www.pso1.com "We Put You in the Driver's Seat" http://www.thomas-superwheel.com "Maker's of the TSW and TSW2" http://www.precision-racing.com Proud Member of Precision Racing Professional Internet Race Team "Schooner" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:fEEG7.53905$[email hidden]... > Beyond being a race chair on a desk chair base, what does this offer? > It's still going to roll around on you when you press on the pedals like a > desk chair does, not the proper height or angle, doesn't address pedal angle > issue. > It might be a cool chair but I don't see what makes it any better than an > desk chair. > > "A_Austin" <[email hidden]> wrote in message > news:3beb1b82$[email hidden]... > > Why choose a pod when you can get all the feel in a real racing seat and > > still use the computer as usual by just removing your wheel?
