control keys in GPL

Hi there, I have just got GPL. Is it possible to change the control key mappings? I would like for example to use Q for accel and A for decel - but I can't seem to select these keys in the control key setup menu of GPL. (In fact I only seem to be able to select the numeric keypad and the function keys). Peter.

It not only helps, but its virtually essential IMO.
