Me and my friend while we had 56 K dial up modems, would race against
each other in GPL by using our IP addresses. Now that we have upgraded
our internet connections (I have cable modem - he has DSL) we cannot
figure out how to connect peer to peer in GPL anymore. Do I have to
reinstall GPL or is there a patch that would allow us to play this way?
It was so easy for on guy to host and another to type in a IP address
and away you go.
The only options that are showing on my game are "connect through a COM
port". He said the in addition to the COM ports, he has TCP/IP listed.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Thank you for your help!
Dave
If you don't have the option of IP, you need to make sure this line is
correct in your core.ini, my guess is that currently its set to 0(zero)

Why not just set up a passworded race on VROC with only 2 'humans'
allowed? Only you two know the password so you won't be troubled. You
can even set up your own chat room.
