I read in NG 3dfxproducts.voodoo5 of this new driver. It sounds very good
and I d'lded it. But before installing, I would like to ask you, if someone
has experiences with it.
Rolf
They seem to be working great for me - no hard benchmarks (except
gained ~1000 points in 3dmark2000). Things do seem smoother, though.
I'd stayed away from post-3dfx drivers since the first x3dfx set was
so buggy, but these seem pretty good.
I also downloaded the "community" drivers, but decided to wait until
they hit the known probs before giving them a try.
HTH,
Kendt
PS - These don't seem to actually be rewritten drivers, just have
tweaked settings to expose features already in the driver set.

Ed,
I downloaded the driver from
www.falconfly.de/3dfx.htm
Haven't tried it out yet though. I'll probably give it a go tomorrow. Let me
know how you make out.

(so the right and left borders of the screen disappeared) and back in again.
As soon as I saw that, I went back to the old driver. I don't know if
functionality was an improvement. On the positive side, it was real easy to
install, though...
