Does anyone know what the latest driver versions for the PDPI L4 gamecard? Are they available for download anywhere now that PDPI is history? Also... why does the PDPI gameport show the range of values returned from my wheel to be less than my Soundblaster Live? I like using the PDPI in Grand Prix 3 because it seems to lower my CPU usage, but am I losing out on accuracy? Framerates in GPL seem to be unaffected by the PDPI but GP3 seems to like it. -Andrew

I don't believe the sensitivity of the pot is changed...I don't think the steering jumps from one number to the next so I think there is no problem with the range of values being lower. For a description of the gameport and its limitations and the advantages of the L4 check out http://www.gplonline.com/tech-talk/hardware-tech.htm The range should be about 1-255 (if not, to tune the l4 see http://simracingmag.gameloft.com/articles/tweaking/00q4/niels1.shtml ). The accuracy may be better if it is more stable with less jitters (i.e. better to have 1-255 without jitters than 1-500 with the pointer bouncing around by +/- 3). V1.4 drivers can be found at http://www.combatsim.com/pages/Downloads/Drivers/Joystick/ although I've seen references to a version 1.41E (don't know if these are the same as above) Hope this helps Ken AndrewS wrote:
