I just doubled my frame rates with an easy tweak to my NVIDIA card with N4. I posted the tweak on the news site today at http://www.racersdomain.com Hope it works as well for everyone as it did for me so I just had to share this cool tweak / setting that goes overlooked many times! -- Bruce Moody AKA Deiter #33 The RDC Drivers Club Director http://www.racersdomain.com
Well thats old news, but true none the less. Turning off V-sync on your Nvidia card helps a bit. Might not exactly double you fps, but it might give 5-10 extra. What puzzles me thou is the fact you couldn't post that peace of info here instead off dragging everybody to some silly messageboard? -- Bertel S. Ya, thats the second time he got me to his site Must need hits. Another way to improve framerate is to disable FF at least with the Logitech FF wheel on graphically heavy tracks. I use W2K which has quite a bit of overhead and this helps a lot at tracks like Martinsville.
Probably the same reason why at some shareware sites you click on a link to download their software, and it then takes you to CNET's download.com and makes you go through all their pages, and when you finally find and click on the 'download now' button, the link goes to the server at the developers site you came from to begin with. In other words, click-through. -Larry "Bertel Bolt-J >[email hidden]" <<> wrote in message news:Bkkh6.2491$[email hidden]... > Well thats old news, but true none the less. I didn't go to your site, but just so you know, I used the registry tweak to disable V-Synch on my GeForce2 GTS D3D and it had absolutely no effect on frame rates. That's because I already had my monitor refresh rates set properly (i.e., far beyond any frame rate you are going to get with the resource hog N4). Marc. You must think you know something no one else knows. It's been all over the newsgroup since the day the game came out. You could have just posted it here, that kill me. -- Mike Grandy Precision Racing www.precision-racing.com "Bruce Moody" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:nEih6.39$[email hidden]... > I just doubled my frame rates with an easy tweak to my NVIDIA card with N4. > I posted the tweak on the news site today at http://www.racersdomain.com > > Hope it works as well for everyone as it did for me so I just had to share > this cool tweak / setting that goes overlooked many times! > > -- > Bruce Moody AKA Deiter #33 > The RDC Drivers Club Director > http://www.racersdomain.com > > >
