No, everyone that qualifies gets to run in the show.

That is how real racing is.. unless you have over 43 people qualifying,
everyone makes the race
Of course online you can not race with more than 43 drives so it is as
should be

Real NASCAR races have people who don't make the cut.

They allow up to 43 Drivers.. if for some reason only 42 drivers showed up
at a track to race that week, they would ALL make it.

The point is, the way N4 has the quals is realistic
We do not have more than 43 drivers in a race

takes is one bad connection to hose the field. There have to be some
limitations to any simulation.

James, they ONLY do not make it if they are not in the Top 43 Cars (there
are Always 43 cars in the race)
Nascar just does not say "Ok, the slowest 3 cars do not make the field".
They allow 43 Cars to race. In N4 you can not have more than 43 drivers in
a race, therefore you will never have to worry about the 44th or 45th
fastest cars.
I do not understand why this is so hard to grasp

If they implemented this for offline racing, the player would hardly ever
qualify! How would you like it if you could not make the race you just
created. LOL.

I think the game only allows you to have a entry list of 42 cars plus
yourself.
While it would be a nice feature, Vintook is probably right, no players
would ever make it. :)

sim that didn't make the cut. Most any game developer in the final run has
to decide which items are more important and should stay and which should be
discarded.
Much like creating a film, I am sure the producer hates seeing some of his
scenes cut out.

Wouldn't it be great doing an offline championship season and only making
the cut for about 3 races??!?!?! I think that's why they left it out.
Being 43rd of 43 is bad enough for people trying to run with realistic
settings!

People want this feature so that they can have a more realistic championship
mode. They want to earn their way into the races... However a system like
this would require some sort of provisional system as well.
Cliffs quote:" The way N4$ quals is realistic" is inaccurate at best.
In NASCAR there are more than 43 cars attempting to qualify, though there
are only 43 slots in the race. If you attempt to qualify and place lower
than 43 you are out.
Qualifying IS unrealistic in N4, because everyone who attempts to qualify
(or even those who decide to sit it out, are guaranteed a spot, that is a
key difference, that takes away some of the competition of qualifying.
So no the procedure for which N4 uses to "qualify" drivers does not take
into account some major NASCAR rules.
As a matter of fact, it is no longer qualification if your guaranteed a
spot, it becomes a time trial or something.
As a matter of fact, a NASCAR commercial says "our guys have to qualify each
week in order to compete." instead of contacts like in other sports.
