I am working on some 50% races...
got the pit windows figured out, that was just
my stupidity. But there is a problem during
racing that really is aggravating.
I switched from the stable Mclaren to the
slightly darty Ferrari and went to the A1 ring.
I got a good Q lap and followed Schui around the
first lap. A good run on the main straight and I was
inside of him at turn one, but we bumped and
I was spun around. I tried to hustle back to
the pack but spun again on my own and
ended up pitting for a few spare parts.
After getting back out, I was lapped by about
4 drivers, But I quickly made up time on
Mika and made a clean pass. Immeadiately there
started BLUE FLAG warnings. After all, I was a
lap down, and had to really take chances to clear
out of the way of Mika before a penalty. Then
the #2 & 3 cars were bunched together, passed one,
but had to follow the #2 car for a while, all this time the
radio is blaring "Blue flag! Pull over!" I ended up passing
both, but not before TWO Black flags for blocking.
20 seconds in the pits put me even further down and in the main
pack of cars. Every time I passed someone the
Blue lights came on. The real race wasn't for posisiton,
but how quickly I could open up some space and avoid
another black flag.
This really put a crimp on the rest of the race.
