Hope someone can guide me. I have enabled the Fast Car cheat in Colin Mcrea 2, as I've read that this makes the game more realistic (having tried it without, I must admit CM2 is a little easier then I would have expected). However, I am now really struggling to drive the cars - not only have I found that they run faster, but the handling has also completely changed. All I now seem to do is swerve all over the place and crash frequently into trees. As I am no driving expert, could some one guide me as to how I need to change my driving style to suit this cheat, as I am quite keen to persevere (and I had being beaten by a computer game!!). I have tried using the set ups I originally created for the non cheat version of the game, but to no avail. As I matter of information, I am using a MSFF wheel (with the FF off, until a patch appears to resolve the stutter problem), on a Athlon 900. Thanks PJ
Great to see you want to master the "true" nature of Colin 2. As you say, You have to change your driving style dramatically. First learn how to "blip" the throttle, to control the skids. Brake! Dont go in fast in curves. Use throttle and wheel to guide you out of the turns. You really have to be gentle with subtle movements on all controlling devices, and most importantly - Slower is faster ;) Thomas > Hope someone can guide me. > > I have enabled the Fast Car cheat in Colin Mcrea 2, as I've read that this > makes the game more realistic (having tried it without, I must admit CM2is > a little easier then I would have expected).
