I'm going through all my games and doing nocd patches (I'm sick of
having to dig out the CD when I want to play - swapping controllers is
enough trouble!). I'd also like to pack away my origina CD's for safe
keeping (I don't have a burner that will allow a full backup).
I've downloaded the no-cd patch from megagames and gamecopyworld, but
the crack only seems to get past the initial game load CD check - there
seems to be another check for the CD when you actually try to start a
race. Is there an INI or registry change I'm missing?

why don't you try copying the CD to a directory on your hard drive, then
installing it from your hard drive??
