To answer your question so you don't keep posting 4 posts at a time. (-:
I guess it depends on what speed processor you're using. The more powerful your processor the less you will need the more powerful card. I use the 7100 on a P3 800 and it is plenty fast enough. I have 128 megs of ram and could probably stand to put some more in. I get 60 fps in N3 using D3D or OpenGL.
