Some help pls. Still having no luck getting IRF 2.2 to work from behind a Nokia 1122 over DSL. IRF 2.1 no problems. Didn't require anything to be setup or pinholed etc. I'm keen to have a go on N4 however. I've tried all that's been suggested in earlier posts, ie. open pinholes 4555, 4301 and the info port 2005 (both in TCP & UDP). Nominated these on the options setup. Done the server bit in the core.ini for N4 I'm connecting to the server (I think) but get no details back. No races online to be seen or any sight of others that are logged on. Starting up 2.1 along side confirms that the NH server is up and things are happening. So what's so different in 2.2?????? Any help appreciated. Tinker
I think Jan over at theuspits.com just posted a four page primer on racing behind a firewall...or at least he "said" he was going to...;) I don't know if it will apply to IRF, but it just might... dave henrie "Tinker" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:xWZ_5.835$[email hidden]... > Some help pls. > > Still having no luck getting IRF 2.2 to work from behind a Nokia 1122 over > DSL. > IRF 2.1
I think one of the issues is it uses a range of ports that changes vs. a fixed range of ports that you could open up permanently to allow that traffic. I had the earlier version working behind a Sonicwall SOHO and 2.2 doesn't. -joez "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:avs%5.163788$[email hidden]...
