Hello all! Just downloaded the MBTR demo from gamespot; WOW! This is a cool sim. Sure, I love racing MB F1 cars and MB road cars, but I never thought I'd enjoy racing trucks. A few questions/issues: When I tried setting the accelerate/brake to use joystick (gamepad) axis Y, the demo froze. I wanted to try using the manual transmission. Is this an error in the demo? Also, during the race, there is a white silhouette/shadow of a turning truck in the upper-left corner of the screen. It gets irritating after a while. And, the truck's shadow looks odd, like a checkered flag. Again, is this the demo or my system? I'm running a PII450 with a 3D Blaster Voodoo2 (12MB), 384MB RAM, and a Matrox Mill 2 16MB 2D card. My controller is a basic Gravis Gamepad. Don't worry; my next upgrades will include a steering wheel. :) Finally, if I decided to order this game from Gameplay.co.uk, could I play it here in Canada? I don't think PC games use the NTSC/PAL etc system, but I could be wrong. And to finish, when is this due out in North America? I checked my local EB and they have no mention of it in their database. Also can't find it on EBWorld.com. Any/all info appreciated. Thanks, - Tom N. ============================================================================== "Ferrari is the epitome of mechanical beauty and Ferraris are acquired by men who wish to turn their dreams into reality and inject into their lives a long period of youthful passion. If you hooked a TV up to the monitor output of your video card it wouldn't work no matter if it was NTSC or PAL, likewise hooking your computer monitor up to a VCR. ~daxe

Hi again... I just upgraded my Voodoo2 drivers from the Creative site and switched the top option in the Setup program to Voodoo3/Banshee. It's better, as I can see the times in the upper-left, but the white silhouette is still there and the shadow of the truck is a checkered flag as is the rear-view mirror in the top middle. Maybe this game doesn't support V2.... I'll keep trying stuff. I tried setting it to Voodoo5 but it was ALL messed up. That's part of my upgrades so... My card has 12MB; maybe that's not enough. My DirectX version is 7.0 from installing other games like GP3. - Tom N. ============================================================================== "Ferrari is the epitome of mechanical beauty and Ferraris are acquired by men who wish to turn their dreams into reality and inject into their lives a long period of youthful passion.
