You're asking for a scrap, you are... In any case, GPLA Original is (at

(Sorry if this has turned up twice - once is *quite* enough, I realise!)
(For those who don't know, GPL Assistant is my rather feeble effort at a
configuration frontend for the game Grand Prix Legends. It was mostly
written for my own use, but I thought I might as well stick it up for
download. Further details on my website.)
OK, as those few of you who for some reason persist in using the blasted
thing will have noticed, updates to GPL Assistant have been pretty thin on
the ground recently. In fact, there hasn't been one since v0.60 came out in
August. Not good. OK, two HD crashes haven't helped, but even so...
Having thought about this, I've decided to start writing the prog again,
pretty much from the ground up. This time, I'll put the source code up on
the website, so those of you with time to kill can have a good chuckle...
:-)
The program will now be called "GPL Assistant Plus" ("GPLA+"), on the
grounds that it might actually do something useful this time around.... I
expect development on GPLA+ to be quite slow, but on the other hand there
should be more frequent releases (not hard!). For quite a while, therefore,
GPLA+ will lag behind the original Assistant in terms of features. Because
of this, GPLA Original v0.60 (not an official name, just convenient) will
continuue to be available for download from my website for the forseeable
future, and I will still support it.
As I say, I expect progress on GPLA+ to be slow, which is mainly (no point
in not being honest!) because of my less than brilliant Delphi skills. I
shall be writing GPLA+ in Ye Olde Delphi Desktop 2.0, so I don't want any
emails telling me to put some feature in that is only available in D3Pro
(unless you want to send me a free copy... :-) ). I have no illusions about
my programming level, and GPLA+ will not have elegant source code. As I say
in the readme to the original GPL Assistant, my philosophy is "hack about
manically until it more or less works, then stop".
Finally, let me assure you that GPLA+ will always continue to be:
* Free;
* Open-source;
* Freely distributable;
* Small enough to download (I can't envisage it ever getting over 500K);
* Not crippleware (beyond my inability to program properly!), shareware,
adware or spyware in any way, shape or form.
Anyone who actually wants to have a go at the prog (you need Grand Prix
Legends installed or it won't work at all) should go here:

If you're still here, you're certainly committed! (Or should be...)

You're entirely correct- no offense intended. Just looking for a cheap
laugh there. :-)
