I also tried turning down the graphics to 640X480 and it didn't help me
either (V3-2K). But it DID do something; it nuked my escape key, so I
couldn't get out of the car. My desktop's at 8X6, so I wonder if that's
somehow involved. I checked and no IRQ sharing on my sound card either. Oh
well, I'm sure they'll get it sorted.

3 out of 5 computers Ive installed the N4 demo on have the same problems as
many posts here. 2 Where ess cards and the 3rd a soundblaster 16.
Any fixes as yet?

Wasn't really thinking of something Papyrus would do rather a clever user
finding a way around it. It does seem strange that it is happening on such
well known sound cards though. 4 out of six computers now that I have
installed it on are doing the same thing , 2 ess cards and 2 SB16.

If I turn down the screen resolution and graphic detail, the sound
stops stuttering and sputtering. It is completely predictable.
CEleron2/566@876 V3/3000 SBLive! Value WinME DX8
It seems to be related to trying to run the game with too high graphic
setting. I can't even run full graphics in 800x600 with out sound
corruption and graphic 'stuttering', so I think the requirements are
higher than most people think they are.
Try running 640x480 with all the details off and see if it sounds
right. When the sounds are working properly, they sound great!

I wonder if it's a problem related to AGP video cards AND certain settings
in the graphics options AND certain audio cards.
Maybe not though.

Check to see if your sound adapter is sharing an IRQ. Mine was and
seperating it solved the problem.
Splutters GONE!

Alan
Seems to me it'd be a waste of bloody time for Papyrus to provide a "fix"
for the sound in an Alpha release.
If it's okay in the retail version, that's all that matters.

Hi,
I can tell you it isn't related to AGP video cards, because i don't
have a AGP video card.. :)
Sb16, V2 12 meg and PCI video card.
I have also tried turning the graphic detail way down low and using a
640x480 resolution, and the sound problems still exist..
