Maybe this was a wind up but I read somewhere about 4 years ago that all
computer racing games MUST include (under japanese law) a waterfall.
At the time I took the statement with a pinch of salt but after playing a
few racing games of japanese origin, they did indeed all have a waterfall in
the game. Even an F1 game (n64) had a hidden track that included the
aforementioned cascade of h2o.
So can anyone shed any light on this subject?

Or then again it may just be the quirky idea eminating from a land that has
some of the weirdest ideas about entertainment that I've come across!

In *every* game show that I've seen come out of this land there is an
element of Bushido.
(There's also an element of the psychotic!)
