It is not only exceptionally poor netiquette, but actually against the NG's charter and BellCanada's TOS to post binaries in a non-binary NG. Since there is a binary NG available for such purposes (alt.binaries.simulators.autos), please use it -- though if you had, you might see that what you're doing has already been done.

Claude- You just made your way into my Killfile. Imagine all the modem users who just download the NON-BINARY newsgroups "automatically" with Outlook Express.....with Pay-by-Minute phone taxes..... -- Mika Takala [email hidden] ICQ UIN 14314015 "Claude" <[email hidden]> kirjoitti viestiss news:[email hidden]... >

Maybe it was an accident and he meant to post it on alt.binaries.simulators.autos. David Powell wrote: > > Whats the problem you dont have to download the files....apart from the > Equette :).....noones forces you to download :P Some people who are on dial up and pay for every minute they are online prefer to DL all the messages from the NG and read them off-line, with 80 MB of binary files in addition to the usual traffic in here, that's a lot I'd say that's a good reason to be upset about it, because that in effect has locked those who don't have a fast download out from this NG Of course, the person in question has apologized for this, so for me it's not an issue anymore, yes, I'm on dialup during the weekends.... Geez... The guy tries to do a favor, and you killfile him? Nice Tude there... No, he shouldn't have really done it. But kindness returns kindness. Just tell the guy the rules, thank him for his efforts, and move along. Has this newsgroup degraded or what? -Larry "Mika Takala" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:903qln$9vc$[email hidden]... > Claude- You just made your way into my Killfile. > > Imagine all the modem users who just download the NON-BINARY newsgroups > "automatically" with Outlook Express.....with Pay-by-Minute phonetaxes.....
