Sorry for asking a question probably asked before, I just couldn't find a answer on Deja. There has been a bit of raving and arguing about the Radeon lately, but I'm yet to find a review on how it performs on GPL. I'm pretty interested in the features and it will surely be in the equation when I'm considering a card to replace the trusty old V3 3000. So question is: Does the Radeon and GPL work, with FSAA ? At 36 fps on a Cel566@850 ? Thanks -- Olav K. Malmin remove .spam when replying

Realize both of you that GPL is CPU intensive, the fact is that both of the machines quoted are ABOVE AVERAGE in cpu abilities. While there is nothing wrong with that, to benchmark gpl and then declare the Radeon's fitness is somewhat misleading. With a 1gigahurts chip even a freakin' S3 chip from 3 years ago could achieve respectable numbers. A good comparison needs to see a 1 gig system benchmarking a Radion, a GeForce and a Voodoo. Still at least we will see if there are any problems with a Radeon..go to it... dave henrie "Andy Lees" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8vcbn4$pui$[email hidden]... > I'm picking up my 64Mb Radeon tomorrow, I'll post with some results frommy

Most websites say the Radeon whups butt against Voodoo and GeForce at resolutions 1024x768 and above..... "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:hBmS5.55554$[email hidden]...

And Radeon is said 32bit performances are better than GeForces. It's not concerning about GPL, though. Regular, and Andy, please don't forget hi-res performance too. 1260x1024 and especially 1600x1200. I'm looking forward to hear. thanks. Y.Minami
