Anything under 3 hours is good going . However , consider triathlete Peter Reid from Canada who won the Hawaii Ironman a few weeks ago . He ran 2:48 IIRC , AFTER a 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike ride in what was the toughest , windiest Hawaii Ironman for a long time . One fit Canadian. News flash. Jarno Trulli finishes in 10230th place, and is well off the pace. Trulli ran the New York City marathon last weekend. He finished in 4:02. I remember reading on Atlas F1 that he didn't think he needed any special training, as he was already a superhuman being only one step away from God. Hey, it's not every day you can wear a smug smile in the knowledge that you are 25% faster than a Formula One driver (I ran my first marathon in 2:59). cheers, Stephen
Just slightly quicker then the F3 BRM at Nurburgring;) Chris -- Simbok Racing www.geocities.com/simbokza Stephen Ferguson <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3a07b3b7$[email hidden]... > News flash. Your grandfather was an excellent runner at that age. I am content to be above-average and have no illusions that I am top-notch... just better than Trulli! Stephen Alexpez <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8u9tng$ir3$[email hidden]...

All these references to Monty Python are rather worrying, actually it has got so bad that RASF1 (yes them!) are also reciting sketches! There are worse things in life than a NG reciting MP skits, even if it's intended as a sim racing NG, but then again I'm a fan.....:-) "You son of a silly person....."
