Hi all,
Is there a FAQ somewhere for what I need to hook two computers together via
network cards to play some of the current driving sims?
thanks
Stephen
You need 2 network cards and a UTP Cross-over cable.

As Far as I know: -
- Install TCP/IP
- Set one IP to 192.168.0.1
- Other to 192.168.0.2
- Install IPX/SPX if needed.
I have a hub, but I am assured this is the right way of doing it for a
cross-over cable.
Hope this helps

I found this site recently while looking for info on network gaming:

Stephen,
look at http://www.homepclan.com/
It has instructions for everything from choosing
and installing network cards to configuring
machines.
For just two machines, 2 network cards and a
crossover cable are all you'll need. If you want more machines
you'll need a hub plus an ordinary cat5 cable for
each PC.
I've set up a small network with a hub and Win98 using
their instructions and it works just fine.
