Looks bad - all I get is a holding page for "CWI Hosting" (who?). Anyone
who still gets it - try cleaning out your cache, then try again...

Looks like Marc had some troubles with the bill last month. Let's hope
he can get simracing.com back online. ::(

I went to check The Sim Project (http://www.simracing.com) today, and
it's gone! Alison's page (http://www.simracing.com/~alison) is too. Is
this a fluke, or one of the darker days in sim racing history?

Hmmm. Me no find 'em, neither! Just gettum server error.
Good to know. Might be a DNS problem somewhere. Can someone look up
the IP for those of us who are having problems?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Good to hear that. A friend of mine took ten years to build his,
then it burned down to the ground in five minutes (he barely
escaped with his life, by the way).

It's a bit of a jump, but have you ever been to Nrburgring yourself,
Alison?

Before you buy.
There is definitely a problem at CWI Hosting, the company which is
hosting simracing.com and my site. My site has not gone away; it's
temporarily inaccessible to some computers due to a problem at CWI
Hosting.
I think it's a DNS problem, and have been digging around trying to get
to the bottom of it. Bizarrely, I can get to simracing.com from two of
five computers I've tried, and not the other three.
Tonight I sent Marc Nelson (who owns simracing.com and hosts my site)
some routing table info from these computers. There are definitely some
anomalies in these tables. I know he's working on the problem with CWI
Hosting so maybe this stuff will help.
We both hope the problem gets resolved soon! I'll post something here
as soon as it's fixed or I have a workaround.
Alison
PS. I'm sorry I didn't know about this sooner. Nate and I were at Lime
Rock with the Cobra this weekend, and I got home to a mailbox stuffed
with emails wondering why my site had gone away (it hasn't; it's just
hiding).
The Cobra was a blast! We got new race tires, upgraded the brakes, and
got a new seat since we last ran at Loudon. It's much easier to drive
now and a lot more fun. Brutal acceleration, good handling, solid
braking, and that wonderful sound! I love that car!
Hmm. Let's see ... do you think we could interest Dave Kaemmer in doing
a "Sports Car Legends" sim so everyone here could try a Cobra at Lime
Rock, or Riverside, or maybe The Ring? Or maybe the West brothers will
put a Cobra into WSC. Waddya think?

cobra, damn fine idea.
it's funny, (well, maybe) but my roommate pointed out a cobra here in little
rock that i'd completely missed. she said, isn't that what alison's
driving?
so thrill of seeing a cobra here and a slant eyed look at the alison fan
beside me, didn't know she was keeping up with ya!
good luck and all that jazz!
