My installation of GPL, which had been fine, is now saying "Unable to load
track" whenever I try to start either, training, single race or
championship.
Any ideas, I don't want to have to do a complete reload unless I really have
to.

Installed something like a new dash or driver arms lately?

I had it myself a while ago. There is no other solution than reinstalling
the game...
Backup your replays, setups , core.ini, tracks,... before otherwise they're
all gone (believe me, it ain't the most funny thing!)

It could be something more serious (if you've just installed something new),
but it's definitely worth checking this first!

Before re-installing GPL, go into your "Cars67" folder, and remove
all car mods for each car (for each car-folder, in "cars67").
Someone correct me if wrong, but you need only -1- stock "default"
file for each car-folder (i.e., ferrari.dat, brabham.dat, brm.dat,
etc.).
The rest are user mod-files, and can cause "unable to load track" if
files are incompatible with each other (usually 3do files), even if
the car you drive isn't causing the problem.

Phil, you definitely don't need to re-install GPL.
If it suddenly started saying "Unable to load track", apparently for no
reason, then the cause is almost certainly that the hard disc has run out of
space.
Please tell me I'm right! ;-)

Yes there is. It's usually just a duff file somewhere. I had this
problem too. Turned out to be a bad 3do file for a GPLSF dash. Put the
3do in the relevant car folder and I got 'can't load track'. Take it
out, everything worked fine.
