"4. Graphic Improvements *********************** - Problem with 3Dfx Voodoo2 cards fixed." So how come I still get a PO of 845% with minimum graphics configuration? (Celeron 450 / Techworks Voodoo 2 8M) Ah well, it's my birthday soon - maybe "someone" will buy me a new graphics card. -- Tony Whitley GPLRank +12.8
The problem was that some Voodoo2's could not be selected as usuable. Now, with the patch, you can use them. (Said nothing about processor occupancy). Try your Voodoo 2 with F12k and see how good frame rates you get. -Cheers! "Tony Whitley" <t o n y . w h i t l e y @ nStPlAwMorld.com> wrote in message news:uKVJ5.819$h%[email hidden]...

I would guess that F12K wouldn't run too poorly on a Voodoo 2 -- the Voodoo Banshee was based on the Voodoo 2, but not quite its equal, and I was running F12K acceptably on my machine using a Banshee board until I upgraded to a TNT2 recently. -- JB In article <lHWJ5.613$[email hidden]>, "Regular Racer" <[email hidden]> wrote: > The problem was that some Voodoo2's could not be selected asusuable. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
If by chance you are using the Microsoft Digital Sound System 80 USB speakers with WinME version of its drivers, you will always get this kind of PO. I had this problem and had to not use the usb speakers (unplug USB connector and only use soundcard output into the speakers). I am using a Voodoo 3 3000 also and thought it might have been the problem. If you don't have this config, then you can disregard this message, but that fixed the problem I was having with high PO. I'm still using an ISA SB16 :-) What I don't understand is that I don't have any problems with other games (even machine hungry ones like GPL) or even with software 3D under GP3. A Voodoo 2 is a graphics *accelerator*, under GP3 it slows everything down massively! -- Tony Whitley GPLRank +12.8 > > > "Tony Whitley" wrote... > > "4.
