After you click the "utilities" link on the left of the RacersDomain home page, click the "Nascar 3" link at the top of the utilities page. The sound pack "mwn3_15us.zip" is at the top of the "Software / Patches" section of the page. -Paul Western States Racing League www.wsrl.n3.net vicsto <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8svcci$n1v$[email hidden]... > Maybe I'm missing something, but there is no such link. I had downloaded and installed another N3 sound file from one of the N3 sites previously. Upon installing these, over the afore mentioned, I noticed I had a lot less "stutter" when playing a new sound. Seriously. 2_Slow "vicsto" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8svcci$n1v$[email hidden]... > Maybe I'm missing something, but there is no such link. Wow. We just tried out the n3 new sound patch by MeatWater and it is great! For convienence I linked their site and file at http://www.racersdomain.com then click on "Utilities/Links" button on the left and then "Nascar 3" button that pops up. You'll see that patch and others listed. This sound patch is a must have! It's great! -- Bruce Moody AKA Deiter #33 The RDC Drivers Club Director http://www.racersdomain.com

Yep. As long as a) I am the autor b) I hold the rights and c) I state that I do not want anyone to directly link my stuff. Many site owners pay for their web traffic - with everyone directly linking to a file, site traffic will increase enourmously. > I can appreciate that site owners want people to visit them for >advertising > purposes, It costs me a lot of bucks to keep the MeatWater website free of any crappy pop-ups or other advertizing shit, therefore forget the advertizing thing. The reason why I want to keep the stuff "home" is that this gives me maximum control over the files, thus providing you and everybody else with the most recent files that are free of bugs and viruses. > but it is rather nice to be able to find everything in one place > without a lot of hunting around. Ain't no hunting around. You're looking for MeatWater SoundPacks, you come to the right place. > Can you really prevent someone from doing > this Shure. Try downloading the file. , and what does it violate, exactly? See above, a), b) and c) > Just curious. It's great to read that the SoundPack is appreciated by experienced N3 drivers, BUT: My dear friend, there are certain rules that apply for EVERYONE. Let me quote the MeatWater NASCAR 3 SoundPack ReadMe: 5) Copyright 1992-2000 MeatWater CreaDesign "MeatWater", "MeatWater SoundPack" and "CreaDesign" are registred Trademarks NO publishing or direct linking of this SoundPack. I think this is clear enough. Please REMOVE the link to the file and add a link to the MeatWater Website instead. (http://www.meatwater.com) To those who are interested in the SoundPack, please come visit the MeatWater Website, www.meatwater.com. Not to single you out, because a lot of people are doing this, but is there really any legal precedent against direct links, if you at least give credit beside them? And besides, credit is usually included in the zip file itself. I can appreciate that site owners want people to visit them for advertising purposes, but it is rather nice to be able to find everything in one place without a lot of hunting around. Can you really prevent someone from doing this, and what does it violate, exactly? Just curious.
