Could someone please help me? I'm at a loss as to installing the various
tracks and cars I find on the 'Net. Thanks in advance.

Look for the guide in the SCGT section.

Quite simple if you have the BAN_SCENE patch. Get it at:
http://www.simracing.com/downloads/sportscar/patches_3rdprty.shtml
or at The Pits:
http://www.theuspits.com/fbody/scgt/
As for cars, i t doesn't matter if you have the patch or not, just drop
the VEH, MAS, and BMP file in the PATCH subdirectory. If the car came
with a sound, drop the WAV file(s) in the 22K16BIT subdirectory.
As for tracks, if you have the BAN_SCENE patch, drop the SCN and AIW
files in the DAT subdirectory and the MAS files in the MAS subdirectory.
If the track came with a BMP file with a four-letter name, and the last
letter is a B, drop that in the PATCH subdirectory. If the track came
with loading screens, you'll need a MAS extractor (I recommend MASpuce,
which can be downloaded at The Pits). Follow the MASpuce directions to
insert the loading screen BMP files into the LOADING.MAS file in the MAS
subdirectory. The whole process shouldn't take but about eight minutes
or so, even for a beginner...
If you do not have the BAN_SCENE patch, you'll need MASpuce to insert
the SCN and AIW files into the SCENE.MAS file in the DAT subdirectory.
In order to minimize data corruption and your comp locking up, GO GET
THE BAN_SCENE PATCH!
Good luck, and welcome to the world of SCGT!

Does the BAN_SCENE patch not work with European versions of SCGT? I had no
luck. I also couldn't get MASPUCE to work (I kept getting a "file not
found" error)
