Slick 10 Sep 2000 11:12 UTC#232854
Hope few of the following things will be addressed in the upcoming patches! Replay issues : - A cut and paste option so we can actually have our hot laps rather than a 41 meg replay - Ability to check the replay and go back racing!! - More than 1 TV camera While in AUTO mode : - Erratic behavior of all the cars (including mine) - Once under yellow the AI (which just took over my car) doesn't attempt to catch the train in front - Do the human players have the worse pit crew?(yes I have unchecked the repair option prior to pitting...) I seem to loose positions every time... The AI : - Although I have only done 4-5 races at Sears, it seems that Tony Stewart is destined to run 16'th D.E.Jr 18th with me in the middle most of the times? I have checked only 30 cars in order to have constant frame rate but the Quali and race order seem to vary very little? The red black and purple car always on the back (forgive I don't know the actual names).. Overall : - Games in general must have more than 3 things to mess with under the Graphics options! And only 3 clicks for each option? Garage : - A pre-set Quali and race setup is mandatory! Many times I forget to load my race setup before the race! Save option: - After qualifying at least and maybe once in race? I can't think of anything else maybe few things will surface once I hit the Ovals but this are the main things that I would like to see addressed in the future! Great game anyway Oliver BEOROCKET Racing: www.beorocket.co.yu

NH was obviously designed for the casual gamer--those who don't know how things "should" be and/or don't care. Considering Hasbro's track record concerning sims, I don't have a good feeling about continuing support beyond an initial patch. I hope I'm wrong. And tone down the canned spin codes when you clip the apron. This doesn't happen EVERY single time IRL, like it does in the game. It's a great feature, but needs to be toned down. IRL, all the drivers clip the apron purposely on occasion, especially at Bristol. The code is obviously for a canned spin, so it should be easy to tone down. Makes dropping onto the apron to pit a real pain too, something the AI cars don't seem to be bothered with......The Winston pitting contests done every year show you that it's far to easy to spin in the game right now :) Also, that line about "real stock cars always pulling to the left" is a bit much. Take a look at ANY in car camera, and you'll never see a driver over correcting to maintain a straight line like you have to do in Heat, setup change or not. Granted, the real drivers know a bit more about setups, etc., than we do, but you don't see these guys driving with only a few fingers of each hand, arms relaxed on a straight because they're fighting to go in a straight line. Only time you see them fighting it is if they're having a problem, not normally. It's just overdone a bit is all in the game. -John > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

No? Same exact spin every time on the apron, equals canned spin code :) Nothing inherently wrong with that, just needs to be toned down a bit. Great game, much better than the Papy series _offline_, but as with any new game, needs a bit of tweaking. -John > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
going back to your favorite hunting grounds. Watch the lines the IRL cars take as they exit turns 2 and 4. the cars drift way down to the inside of the track until the point where the drivers swing them back outside to prepare for the oncomming turn. Why? Because it's faster to let the car assume it's neutral steering on the long straights...the slight banking at the formerly greatest spectacle in racing pulls the cars over. Not a lot...but noticable. The degree with which we fight that drift in NH could be "partially" due to our controllers. dave henrie <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8pg676$g85$[email hidden]...

I don't spin every time I hit the apron. (Yes I have HARDCORE enable, and all the other goodies turned off). <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8pga8v$kgt$[email hidden]...

Must be nice (or you are going pathetically slow). I spin every time I even look at the apron. This MUST be corrected to at least allow me the chance to catch the damn thing. Drives me crazy right now. Many times the AI will push me down there and then it is all she wrote. I've caught it a few times (rare but possible). Certainly not canned to me. Usually people mistake canned behavior for inability to correct via controller input due to low FPS. Not flaming you, this is just a common problem on this ng. SCGT for example was one game I thought had canned spins but turns out I just didn't run it fast enough to catch them. Now I can catch spins all the time with a PIII 600e @ 672 and V5. -- Joe Marques Please remove "NO SPAM" to e-mail me. <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8pga8v$kgt$[email hidden]... > No?
