I know nothing about GT Racing other that this game. And oh how I love
it. The only problem is that I am about 10 seconds slower than the nGT
cars. When i look at a grid or laptime listing my car is listed as "G3"
or "G2" class... all the other cars are GT and nGT. What does this mean?
By the way, this is the best race sim ever.
Uh, because you are using a GT2 or GT3 car?
I think there are four classes: Prototype, GT, GT2, and GT3, though I
could
be mistaken. The interesting part is they are ALL on the same track
racing
at the same time, and you will have to work your way through some
serious
traffic, from what I've seen of the GT races.

I'm 'guessing' you are using the 24hr Spa addon. FIA GT has two
classes, as you previously noted, GT and nGT. But I 'think' the special
Spa 24hr event has some extra classes. If my guess is correct, you picked
one of the lesser 24hr cars instead of the regular FIA spec cars.
