Yes yes, shut up, noone cares.... especially since you're not even a
negative GPL ranker.... well i don't care :-)
In two days I've gone from 150+ to 66..... yeah hoo.... yeah baby.
Ok, Carry on with your day..
erm... that's great progress but I can't seem to find you on GPLRank? In
fact no one has a rank of 66, they skip from 64.40 to 67.22. I was just
looking to compare times.

The GPLAnalyzer program has a menu option to calculate your gplrank for you.

I've been watching my own (average) times on the ring drop steadily the last
few days. Last night I stuck to the 2nd place AI's tail til well into the
2nd lap before getting a little too close, touching him and spinning out.
Using GPLA to compare the 1st and 2nd laps I was on about an 8:32 pace for
the 2nd lap (4seconds for the flying start, 3seconds later in the track).
Racing the AI is getting even more fun as I improve, especially the starting
area of the track before flugplatz. I've crashed and restarted races so
many times I'm practically an expert on this section of the track. In the
past the 3rd place AI pulled ahead right from the start and by flugplatz was
10 carlengths ahead; now I mostly beat him right off the starting line, and
even if I get a bad start I know that I can brake late into the first corner
and cut him off, or hang on his ass, joust and bump wheels with him on the
pit straight and cut him off at the 2nd corner. Fun stuff.
Pushing yourself to stay with the AI as long as possible right from the
start pays off. Again using GPLA I can see that I lose no time to the
papyrus benchmark replay til well past flugplatz. So dammit Eldred get on
the stick and start racing the ai, its boring to have joined the faceless
masses no longer in the St. Eldred's Cup.

Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

Drill 2 holes in the mirrors and use some blue-tac to hold them in place....
worked well for me :-)
