I'll see how it's looking tomorrow as far as ordering on the web or driving 20 miles to PC World. mwtb

Can someone in the U.K. confirm if PC World stocks the Logitech Wingman FF USB steering wheel and if so, for how much? I've order the wheel through gameplay.com and jungle.com and had to cancel both after discovering that I would have to wait ages for them to restock (jungle's site outright lied about the availability). In fact, if anyone in the U.K. knows of an online retailer that has the wheel in stock for around 80-90 pounds, I'd be very interested to know about it. Cheers, mwtb
I see them in dixons a lot, if your branch doesn't have it they easily get it from one which does for you. -- Tim, [email hidden]|[email hidden] http://legends.sports-gaming.com/forums.shtml FREE forums for your league... http://legends.sports-gaming.com Sim racing website loosely based on gpl... There's a large Curry's (also Dixons) near me, and that also only had the MS wheel, at the same price (surprise). I've been told that the Logitechs have been spotted in PC World, which is a 30 minute drive for me, but they don't list them on the website, so I'd like to know how much they are. mwtb

Isn't there a new model about to be released? that may be why no one has the old model in stock. Andi. McFadden <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8nemcl$o19$[email hidden]...

That would be a bit annoying though, because the GP version isn't as good -- it's intended to be a budget FF wheel, not a replacement for the original. Not quite as annoying as Jungle.com telling me that yes they had cancelled my order, but because the order was "about to be dispatched", they had debited my card already. Apparently, sending in two days is "about to be dispatched", and that's good enough to grab my cash and hold onto it for 10 days. I pointed out that I told them why I was cancelling the order (because it wouldn't arrive until next Monday), and that if it really was "about to be dispatched" then I'd be glad to get it. Otherwise, I'd like to know where they get off telling people that stuff is in stock and ready to go, then changing the story once the card has been debited (along with payment for next-day delivery). mwtb

Well the Irish PC World didn't even know what an LWFF was so I wouldn't expect too much. I had to ring all over the country to find one. I finally found one but had to travel half way up the country. And still not and RS wheel in sight or any other for that matter. As of late Guilmot did come in here. Well my point is that for some reason they're not something you'll find everywhere. But if you do, look for it in the 100 range, I got mine for 100 Irish punts so Sterling should really be less again, some places way overcharge as high as 150.

Simon Brown <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:%mDm5.1108$[email hidden]... > PC World has it for 99 i think. > Just to put a cap on this one. Thanks to everyone for your answers. In the end I had to work late, so PC World was out of the question. I decided to give jungle another go, hoping that the customer support guy was being honest when he said that it was all a bit of a mixup. The same thing happened, in stock, in stock, in stock... oh, we'll be sending it out on Monday. This time though, I hung on, resigned to possibly waiting. At about ten to nine, I was just starting to write an email to their support team to tell them that they had screwed up again, and billed my CC before sending, when the order status flipped to "shipped". In short, they have a broken order status system, but it looks like they might actually be on the up and up about stock levels and next day delivery. If I don't get the goods tomorrow, I'll post again, but otherwise I give jungle.com the all clear. Thanks again, chaps, mwtb
