I have made new 1x1 grids for 12 add on tracks in GPL: Atlanta, Snetterton, Cleveland, Elkhart Lake, Imola, Indianapolis, Laguna Seca, Mid Ohio, Riverside, Road Atlanta, Solitude and Goodwood. The total set of grids for 32 tracks is available for download at http://www.xs4all.nl/~westrab/gpl.htm#starts (144KB) Regards, Bart Westra

The server dude will have to copy the desired grid for each track as track.ini on the server, and then in the WinVROC hosting screen select "GPL DEFAULT" for Starting Grid Formation. I would recommend the trackol8.ini's for VROC. They are what WV calls the "loose grids". The clients don't need to do anything, they even do not need to have the grids on their system. Hi There has been a small update in the Solitude track.ini by Martijn Keizer. The update improves the pit lane positioning, increases the fuel load a bit and has a wider 2x2 original grid. I have incorporated the updates for the pitlane and the fuel load in the track.ini's I made. You can download either a patch to trackol version 1.6 or the complete set version 1.7 from http://www.xs4all.nl/~westrab/gpl.htm Regards Bart "Bart Westra" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8n253p$lat$[email hidden]...

I just did a little experiment and extracted the 1x1 grid files to WinVROC's grids directory (with "Use folder names" checked). I do indeed get the 1x1 grid if I select it from WV's host window. Note that you get the option to use a 1x1 grid for every track in your install, and when the necessary files for the 1x1 grid are not in WV's grids directory, the standard grid is used. I am waiting for confirmation from Larry Holbert that it is supposed to work like this, so until then try at your own risk server dudes ..... not much of a risk here though IMO and very convenient.
