If your looking for Nascar you should do ONE or TWO things. Try Nascar
Heat. The Demo just came out I beleive. or/and wait til November-April for
Nascar 4. Both of these titles should be head and shoulders above N3 and
Nascar Legends. The best part of NL is the Riverside road course and ....of
course...the Daytona's and Superbirds. Not too many users online tho...so
getting a big online NL race is tough. N3 has thousands of online drivers
most nights.
Need for Speed / Porche Unleashed has gotten VERY good reviews even from
the sim-heads.
F12k has some supporters and there should be ANOTHER Ubi-soft Monaco
Grand Prix Racing Sim 3 by this Xmas. That may or may-not standup to the
current offerings.
Finally any preview needs to cover what 'could' become THE sim of 2001.
WSC(World Sports Cars) you'll see plenty of mentions about this one, but it
is still several months away from completion.

I've heard a bit about the Nascar game's that are out now, what
are they like? What's Papyrus' other sim's like nascar and
nascar legend's.
Thank's for any advice,
Anto

N4 has been delayed to 2001.
I enjoy Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed (NFS:PU) and Sports Car GT (SCGT),
and on a lighter note... I think that Re*Volt is a hell of alot of fun.

Yes it is. Chuck convinced me to buy it. Now if I could figure out how to
WIN... :)

don't pass on GP3 if you don't insist on internet multiplayer capabilities -
it is one of the best open wheel racing sims, second only to GPL (which
simulates a totally different era).

It is still in beta and will be finalised
as soon as they figured out how to LAN
or IP the game engine
in the meantime it is a fun demo

I've got a 56k modem so downloading demo's is'nt an option. I
have Riverside in GPL and it's a darn good track. I've heard a
few good thing's about NFS Porsche, I'll have to look into that
one. SCGT seem's to have a few follower's from the GPL camp so I
think this could be my next purchase.
As for all the current F1 sim's or so called sim's, I think I'll
pass. GP3 was such a mammoth let down and as most people rate it
as the best of the modern era there's nothing really to chose
from there.
MGPRS could give us something to smile about though if Ubisoft
use their head's.
Thank's again

I bought it the minuite it came out. I am, or was, a big
Crammond fan. Gp3 sucked big time for me. I blame GPL for this,
my standard's are just to high now.
I've played all Crammond's game's, Revs was about 5 year's
ahead of it's time,GP1 and 2 could'nt be matched in their day.
Do you remember when GP2 first came out, it was unbeleivable .
Crammond was alway's way ahead of the opposition, I feel GP3 is
stuck in a time warp. The Graphic's are nicer when they move,
you've got weather but the physics are dodgy in places and the
track's are'nt properly scaled.
It all boil's down to physic's, this is why I've asked for no
mention of GP3 and I have it already.

N3 and NL are great for close racing. They are a bit old tech nowdays, but
fun non the less. The AI can a bit frustrating, but they are better drivers
than in that game you don't want mentioning! Give them a go or wait for N4.

I could be wrong but I feel sure I saw the acceleration pack on sale in PC
World. Do you have branches in Ireland? Don't flame me if I'm seeing things,
please...

He could also order it direct from www.sierra.com
I believe they ship internationally. I got my copy from buy.com for
only $41.95 Canadian. Most stores here don't even have the
Acceleration Pack and are still selling N3 and NL for $65 - $69 each.
What a deal! :-)
